the girls were one month old yesterday. ellie and claire are doing wonderfully. we are so grateful God has blessed us with these two sweet girls.
at one month old the girls are eating about every 3 hours during the day and then usually do 2-4 hour stretches at night. they both take between 3-4 ounces when they take bottles. all that food has ellie and claire filling out and it is adorable to see their chubby cheeks. bill and I have said more than once that these 2 girls are easier to care for as babies than charlie was. the other thing about the girls as a duo is that they are the gruntiest babies ever. they grunt, groan, pass seriously loud gas and snore. it is pretty funny to listen to them.
here are some things we notice about each of them.
ellie:
*has been our drama queen. recently, this means that she gets extremely bothered by gut movements and will cry out dramatically and not calm down. her fussy or agitated time is around 9-11 am and 9-11pm.
*is definitely a slow poke when it comes to eating.
*most of the time ellie has a beat red face because she is grunting.
claire:
*is all business when it comes to eating.
*has been more patient in most situations, but when it comes to eating don’t mess around. if she doesn’t get to eat when she needs to the whole world starts crumbling and she gets so worked up she can’t focus enough to start eating.
*is really strong. when on tummy time she will move her head from side to side. she also “mountain climbs" with her legs when she is in tummy time. she will be a pro at the stair master.
as a side note, I was able to get out for my first run in probably 5+ months today. I only ran 20 minutes to not overdue it, but it felt so great to be outside running by myself! I can’t wait to get back into running more consistently.
Yeah for the run! I'm sure it felt amazing! Do you think we'll ever be able to time both husbands home and kids fed for a run together this summer/fall? Let's try! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how much the girls have changed. They are just precious and adorable!
