Labor Day Weekend - Fall Fest 2018

Friday of Labor Day weekend - the kids and I headed up to Schweitzer early so the kids could play on the kids games before things got crazy for Fall Fest.

Girls were climbing and jumping while Charlie was zip-lining with friends.

Bill was working, but I was thankful for that the Odonnells and Prossers were up there early with me.

Charlie was thrilled to be with Colin and Mitchell.

Saturday morning we were brave and left all the kids at Prossers Condo and then took a hike with just the adults. Me and Katie.

so fun to see the fall colors coming out.

Very thankful we met these families on the SYSA boys soccer team our first month in town!

Fall Fest looked too crazy so we headed down to the boat.

These 3 hanging out!

Claire and Charlie "relaxing" on the tube.

I hope the kids realize how blessed they are to be able to tube and waterski and be on this gorgeous lake all the time!

Charlie is getting so much better at wakeboarding!

We made it up in time to grab 1 drink and soda before the tents closed for the night.

So thankful the smoke cleared enough for us to see!

Sunday I got up and took lily out for a little hike since she wasn't going to be able to join us on the hike up to the top (we wanted to take the chairlift down). At the end of our hike - she found this horse water bucket and quickly cooled off. Ha

Hiking up to the top! The kids were REALLY  unhappy with this choice about this point.

Charlie did a great job on this hike.

Love this place!!

Claire was mad about the picture.

Thankfully I can be in 1 picture.

This catapillar SAVED the hike. The girls found "fuzzy" and quickly he became their hiking companion. They put him in their hands, on a rock, on a leaf and hiked him up to "save him from predators".

the last part is the hardest!

This is the Great Divide ski run that divides the front and back of the mountain.

Fuzzy was a gorgeous catapillar with lots of bright fuzzy hair, but by the time he made it to the top he was more of a worm with no hair. They made him a little house and hopefully he survived.

Fuzzy made the picture!

Another gorgeous summer spent up at Schweitzer and on Lake Pend Oreille. I just love this place and cherish our time here. Can't wait until ski season!

Lily got her teeth cleaned for the first time in 11 years. Her old dog breath had gotten too much to
handle so we decided to try the teeth thing and so far it has helped!

Kids spent some of the smokey days making friendship bracelets. I am loving my ankle bracelets.

Kids built a serious fort in the basement and had the Reeves girls over and they played forever!

 at a soccer party...Ellie with a dinosaur.

Girls started practice with their new team! Thankfully we know the families from ski racing - so I am hoping the girls can make some fun relationships to build upon during the ski season.

My dad came and started to gut Suzanne and Grant's new master bathroom. Grant arrived Friday so Thursday I helped haul the demo stuff up and down to the dumpster.
