We started our drive to Minnesota on Thursday, July 2nd after Bill finished clinic. We left Spokane around 5:45 pm and arrived in Bozeman around 1am (time changes hurt!). The kids crashed in the car and we all fell asleep when we arrived. Thanks to Nana & G pops who took the kids in the morning and played while we slept in.
After we woke up, we headed to the pool. It was a perfect day!
Then I started doing the slide and had a BLAST. I was laughing so hard and we had contests off the slide. Charlie’s pictures were all in video so I can’t add them here.
yes I had to plug my nose - ha
We loaded up and started our long drive to Hudson at 3pm. This was in the morning around 5am when we were in Minnesota and coming to Hudson. The kids did awesome on the drive and crashed from 8pm to 5am – seriously out.
The pool had these awesome succulent planted pots.
we arrived!!!! So thankful for a safe drive!
theme of the summer – old fashion summer (no iphones or ipads only movies), no crying (already lost that one), etc.

LOVE this!
Bill’s battle scar from the cocky slide run the day before.
We took the kids out on the boat to try out the new boom. Bill had to demonstrate.

showing the kids how to do it.
WHOA!!
bill waving to the other boats. I was laughing so hard!
the kids were terrified to try it, which really surprised us. Ellie was brave enough to get on the skis first on the back of the boat.
so proud of her!
finally charlie did it.
many tears before we got to this point.
basically making this happen despite fear.
practicing the boom.
cutest butts.
charlie was FREAKING out at this point.
screaming while we forced it.
you could hear the screams.
didn’t go as planned – sadly he was too fearful. We will try more this week.
Uncle Elliot and Auntie Dotes arrived!!!
the girls ran to them!
ellie was brave enough to just hang from the boom over Bill’s skis.
proud of her!
End of our 4th of July weekend! Dad flew home on Sunday night and will be back in 2 weeks. Lots of river fun to come!
