You know you are nearing the end of Summer when your oldest is just playing Monopoly alone and happy to do it. Ha.
We had a week of frustrating internet issues so after it was solved I enjoyed a large lime-a-rita.
due to the lack of internet i completed a 500 piece puzzle and it was super fun.
I whipped up a huckleberry shake for the kids with the huckleberries we picked.
ellie loved it.
lily gets lots of attention from the kids.
August 21st there was a total eclipse in the US. We had 95% totality and I thought that would be enough to experience the fun. It was fun, but to be honest we should have driven to the path of totality. It would have been worth it! the pictures and experiences of those who were in the path said it was epic.
This was how we viewed it. ha!
The roses in my yard were amazing!
Ellie read this whole book to me! her reading really improved over the summer!
towards the end of the summer the audio books from the library SAVED me! The kids would just sit and listen and stare into space like they are doing here while we were at the vet for lily.
cruising through Manito Gardens to show the Stoddard family their new playground!
Love the Duncan Gardens!
The Stoddard family has moved to Spokane. Dave joined Bill's group (he was a 3rd year resident when Bill was a chief at Mayo). They went New Zealand like we did for 2 years and are now here. We hosted them at our house while they were waiting to get into their house and our kids now LOVE each other. It is the best! So thankful for them!
That is the end of our August random happenings!
