Paris day 1

We landed in Paris around 11am and were at our hotel around 1pm. Bill had it lined up that we would go to Ellsworth for lunch. We booked it and made it just in time. I was in a bit of a fog, but we powered through.

our balcony looked right at the louve one direction and the palais royal in the other. we were in an ideal spot and the cutest boutique hotel. it MADE my trip.

This was the cutest lunch spot - Ellsworth

The Lourve was just a few steps from our hotel. Such a cool part of Paris to stay!

We cruised around after our lunch and stumbled upon a cathedral and wandered inside. Just incredible how many cathedrals there are around Paris.

We had a bike tour that started at 7pm, but when we left our hotel there was a MASSIVE Gay Pride parade happening down the main drag. It was so congested almost every gate that let you through was closed. We marched in the parade for a bit (it was a super hot day so lots of touching sweaty nearly naked people) which was a crazy experience. I was very thankful when we had gotten through the crowds. We arrived at our Fat Bike tour ride and took off with our group. We biked for about 2.5 hours all over Paris. It was a great way to get a lay of the land and stay awake to get on Paris time.

After we had biked for 2.5 hours we landed at the Seine and hopped on the boat to continue with our tour. We had an awesome guide and group that we traveled with so it was fun to chat with everyone and enjoy the boat cruise and wine.

We biked for another 30 min or so after the boat cruise and then Bill and I headed back to the hotel and crashed hard! I was thankful Bill put together a busy first day - it kept us busy and was a blast.
