Last weekend (Nov 8-11), the entire Schmitt fam (sans kids) traveled to Santa Barbara, CA to celebrate Jonathan & Sam’s wedding. It was a splendid weekend.
my mom arrived late wednesday night to take care of the kids. I left early thursday morning with laura, tom, margit and pete and bill flew out late thursday night with mary and elliot. since bill was in the wedding he had more responsibilities. on friday, pete and bill went golfing with the guys. the rest of us headed to Ojai, a city near santa barbara where margit spent the first 11 years of her life. it was fun seeing where she grew up and where she went to school. I didn’t bring my camera so no pics from that day.
friday evening we had a fantastic rehearsal dinner at the San Ysidro Ranch. it was incredible. again – no pictures because I was loving the lack of responsibility with no kids around. hopefully once their pictures come out I can put some up.

after a quick rest at the house we got ready and headed to the wedding at the Biltmore Four Seasons hotel. it was beautiful (a bit cold), but such fun to witness Jonathan & Sam get married! again – no pictures. it was a great party and we had a blast!

on our way to the airport we headed to visit some family friends who have a house in Montecito. after a delicious brunch we went for a quick walk on the beach. what a fun vaca!
