On our drive to visit Dan & Meg and their kids we drove into Madison to spend some time at our favorite restaurants and locations to show the kids.
First stop: Lao Laan Xang for their panang curry!!!
At first the kids were put off by the restaurant - complaining about smells and things...then they started tasting the food. From the apps (spring rolls and crab rangoon) to cucumber salad to the curries. They were in love by the end!
State Capitol! The Buckies were everywhere! Kids had fun finding them.

Right after we sat down and had gotten a drink a midwestern storm blew in.
it went from hot and sunny to hot and humid and ready to RAIN in minutes.
Monsoon came and didn't go away so we called an uber to get back to our car.
We did some driving by places we wanted to see, but with the down pour of rain we couldn't get out at all the places. We stopped by Babcock hall to grab a small ice cream.
on our way out of town - we drove past our first house - 1553 Jefferson Street. The new owners are really loving on the place!

It was a HOT weekend and we were so thankful for their pool.

Bill's buddy - Adam - now lives minutes from my brother Danny and their kids go to school together. So Bill and Adam were able to connect. Adam and Bill were roommates in college and medical school and he was in our wedding.
We headed to a Farmer's Market on Saturday Morning and while at the restrooms we ran into friends of ours from residency who now live in New Berlin - Josh and Beth! Even better Nicole and her kids were hanging out with Josh and Beth so we got more time with them!

we were happy Auntie Suz was able to drive up from Chicago to see us all.

We took our group shot on Sunday. Avery wasn't having it. Bill flew out Sunday night and the kids and I drove back to Hudson for 1 more day of OFS with the kids.
