Every Spring the Oaks puts on a Geography day for the grammer school. Each year they pick a theme and every classroom converts to a different continent. This year the theme was Sports and Games. Charlie's class room was assigned North America - so both the 1st grade and kindergarten room transformed to a North American Sports and Games theme.
For each room there was a group of 9th graders assigned to do a presentation for that country.
Charlie's class room - Field on the far wall, Crowd full of hand crafted faces on the left wall.
The crowd.
Hand made consession and ticket booth areas.
This is the Kindergarten room that was the area for the snack (ie: popcorn) and craft (they made little football catchers).
Here is Australia
This is a pretty legit coral reef - all 3D - the coral reef was made from spray foam that was spray painted. So much work by so many moms!
It was an all day event so the girls were able to come with me.
Australia still.
Onto Africa...
Check out that entire map of Africa on the floor - that was made out of canvas!
Amy showing how to do the craft.
My job was mainly filling the popcorn bags - pretty important work. The girls sat and watched a lot
Sadly, I didn't get to the other 3 rooms, but they were all equally as impressive. So much work goes on to create these rooms. The kids walk around with passports that the school saves so at the end of the Grammer school they have all of the places they traveled too.
So thankful for a school like the Oaks!
