can we keep him?

charlie and I were outside cleaning up some things while the girls were napping and we happened upon a little praying mantis.

I got a little container for us to put him in for a little bit. at this point charlie asked me so sweetly…”can we keep him?”. I then had to let him know that I don’t think he would live for very long in a little container.

so we opened him up and played with him for a little bit.

charlie held him and we even facetimed with bubba & pappy so they could see him for a little bit.

I cracked up when he would stop and instantly put him front arms in the prayer position. it was as if he was saying “please save me Lord!”.

charlie and I had lots of fun and he finally released him into the wild after a bit of convincing.

this picture is not related, but shows charlie’s deep belly laugh. he was doubled over really while watching robin hood. he loves the scene where the hen (maid marian’s wench) starts running like a linebacker taking out a bunch of the bad guys. if he wasn’t sitting at the table he would be doubled over. we are watching some of these classics with the kids and it is a delight to watch charlie laugh this hard.
