Gingerbread houses and other Christmasy things...

Everything is chugging along just like December! Gingerbread houses and Christmas cards were on the agenda for this past weekend. The kids helped us assemble the cards (you might be able to tell with the angle of the label this year).
the assembly line

ellie - our licker.

charlie - the stuffer.

claire - the hander.

Gingerbread house time!

There was definitely quite a bit of frosting eaten since they were banned from eating the candies.

its the most wonderful time of the year!

All Charlie wants is one front tooth for Christmas

On the way home from school a week ago – Charlie bit down on a carrot and REALLY loosened up his pretty loose front tooth. Once I saw how dangly it was and how he was wiggling it like crazy (I was getting sick!).
When Bill got home Charlie wasn’t so sure about getting the tooth out – but Bill decided it was dangerous to leave the tooth in because he was going to swallow the tooth.
Charlie attempting to pull it.
no luck.
looking in the mirror.  these next photos show the variety of Charlie’s expression – I couldn’t delete any because we see many of these faces when he is upset.

ellie in the bottom corner is hilarious.

claire in the upper corner is adorable.
I die over these coming faces. these are the many faces of our passionate Charlie.

showing me how loose it was.

change of tactics. Bill wrapped it with floss.

those brown eyes  - so handsome.

it's coming out!

finally Bill had to just pull it out.
It came out!!! See the tooth dangling on a string?

 all done!
WAHOO!!! all done. I will say the tooth fairies are REALLY forgetful and sloppy in spokane so she still hasn’t paid up.
love these two handsome guys!

Now how long do we have to wait for it to grow in!?!?

O Christmas Tree - 2015

Since we spent Thanksgiving in Big Sky I knew I wanted to grab our tree on the way home on Sunday. I am get er done type person so we gotter done.

We left Big Sky about 8am and arrived at Carver Farms about 2pm. The girls talked 90% of the way home. NONSTOP. so sweet, but also unbelievable!

We hopped out of the car and were right near Fraser Firs!

putting ornaments up is still not easy with the kids. Maybe next year they will be old enough to handle some of the super fragile ones.
