In The Heights!!!

While Tom and Laura were staying for Thanksgiving, they decided to give us an early Christmas gift and send us to Seattle to see In The Heights! It was a wonderful impromptu trip that was a great refreshing getaway!

Only issue when we travel is I get VERY HANGRY and we usually end up at a restaurant way before anyone else because I am hungry. So that is how we found ourselves at this Taco place around 4:30 and were the ONLY ones here. It was delish!

We made 3-4 restaurant stops before we got to the play.

yes - Bill had me take a picture because of the "barf fart" sign.

At a Rum place...

So excited to see this play!

It was fabulous!

The next morning - Bill wouldn't get coffee at the first Starbucks ever.

grabbing gorgeous flowers at the market before leaving.

EW!

Love seeing the sea and the ports...reminds me of Auckland.

Thank you Tom and Laura for an awesome getaway! The kids had a blast too!
Always hard to say goodbye!

Adventures with Nana & G Pops

My parents took the kids after backpacking for the week for fun adventures. As you will soon see I was having some adventures myself while Bill was working.

The kids had a blast!

My mom sacrafically drove my kids to meet me in Coeur d'alene on Friday so I could get the kids in time for soccer on Saturday and school starting on Monday. Thank you for taking the kids mom and dad!

Beginning of May

May Day! Ellie brought me flowers! So sweet. I love this little combo she came up with!

we are loving the new swing in the backyard -- but of course the girls find a way to get higher.

the girls bringing a "box car" they made with a roll of duck tape and little pieces of card board boxes. this was just for fun.

hair all curled for the spring concert!

Wonderful Mother's Day presentation at School for 1st grade.

me and ellie. for some reason I didn't get a lot of Claire pictures!

Claire read her note to me in front of her class. So thankful for these two girls.

Ellie's writing!

Claire's cursive!

This picture Bill snapped when the girls were downstairs watching Charlie play his wii. It is so amazing to see the "mirror".

E&C doing what they do best - coloring and creating side by side. They will spend hours side by side painting or crafting.

On Mother's Day we went to Riverside State Park with our mountain bikes. It was our first adventure and we had to backtrack, but enjoyed the ride and definitely earned our dinner at Benniditos.

Claire and Charlie waiting with me for Ellie and  Bill.

love that this park is just above downtown!

so fun to learn a new skill with these kids.Mountain Biking will be lots of fun for years to come!
