on sunday we celebrated “mother-daughter”. you might be wondering what mother-daughter is – it is the gathering of Laura’s sisters, mom and now their daughters and this year – granddaughters. it usually happens around Christmas and it is a sweet time of being together.
ellie was “shopping” in hudson with pappy’s help before we left for lynn’s house.
I love these sweet Christmas dresses Laura bought for the girls.
claire joined in the fun too.
these girls LOVE their pappy!
bill let claire get away with climbing on the table.
charlie was goofin’ and ready to hang out with pappy and bill for the day.
all three kids attaching the beautiful steinway.
we were trying to get one picture of the girls together and of course ellie would not stand next to claire.
claire led the trek into lynns.
love this. they both lose one shoe (the opposite of course) and then both take off with 1 shoe in hand.
lynn had a beautiful table set and delicious food!
mmm. popovers.
ellie watching claire run down the hallway.
sweet girls. ellie on the left.
you can see claire leaning here and she bumps her head.
ouch!
ellie giving her a hug to help her feel better.
after recovering we tried to get an entire group shot. it was past 1 at this point and the girls were so ready for nap.
amy arrived just in time!
right before naptime ruthie gave the girls some books. I thought these pictures were so great and showed how they are really understanding opening presents. Christmas is going to be so fun this year!
claire is on the left and she is just realizing what this is (the funny thing is we had been looking at these books the other day and they were so sad when I made them put them back).
you can barely see her excited smile underneath that bapoo!
there it is. ellie is a little scared of her book’s teeth.
that is seriously how excited claire was. love that face!
what a wonderful afternoon we had. especially chatting and exchanging gifts as ladies while the girls were sleeping.
