Tuesday we woke up to these blue skies! It was incredible!!

Charlie was so delighted to hold Timmy. Just precious!

Charlie was happy to spend the day celebrating his “birthday” with grandparents since they won’t be around on his actual birthday! He got his beloved Chima from Bubba & Pappy – ree nice!

I had forgotten to give the girls their necklaces so had them open them before skiing.

I got these really cute silver heart necklaces engraved with E & C from etsy and Ellie was unimpressed. I knew she wouldn’t want to wear it so it was ok.

Claire loved it and has been wearing it since, which is what I thought would happen.

I just can’t get over my parent’s view. You are always looking at lone peak!

Uncle Pete was taking a gummy bear break with the kids. He was the most popular.

Claire proudly pushing around in Charlie’s skis. She (and ellie) get themselves into and out of their skis – makes it so much easier!

Wednesday we woke up to 17 inches of snow – it was amazing so amazing we ditched Bubba with the kids. Shanks bubba!

the ski as we were getting the first chair over to the base.

G Pops & Bill hanging out in the bowl after the long traverse. we had some awesome turns in here.

The light was flat so the picture isn’t great, but my dad, bill and I skied this bowl over and over during the morning while they blasted out avalanches above before opening the tram.

After lunch, I stupidly told Margit to take the tram up with us and that there was FORSURE a green run going down. Guess I didn’t know crap and those green circles were just trail markers so you don’t go off a cliff. For not snowboarding in years Margit did awesome in Liberty Bowl – can you tell how steep it was?
But the powder made the falls easy – or so she said and the skiing was awesome!

After we arrived home – Margit – being more talented and fun than anyone (or so charlie said) decided to sculpt Olaf.

in progress…

the artist.

Ellie

Olaf!! He likes warm hugs – how great is that!

Margit went out to play for a bit after the kids went to bed –ha!

The next few days we skied at Moonlight and here is G Pops and Ellie in the lodge.

Enjoying a little bloody mary Apres Ski! Can you spot Timmy??

the food was fantastic and Bubba and Nana rocked it. Pappy was the drink master and planner. Well done!

C happily played his legos.

the girls did lots of coloring.

Claire and her dad!

our line up on six shooter! me, Claire, Ellie, Bill, Nana, Bubba.

another reason the girls can’t ride on chairs alone – they instantly started pretend playing with their gummies – as if they weren’t suspended ridiculously in the air!

Claire was getting tired and pouting that she had to ski with me.

Ellie and me! Hey – I was on this trip!

this is our last day – friday – they were exhausted and Claire is napping on the hill. ha!

our clan.

such a clear, beautiful day!

pappy with claire – they were a dynamic duo that week.

What an incredible week! It was such a joy to spend time with both of our parents and Pete, Margit, Paul and Timmy. Charlie already mentioned missing Paul, which gets me so excited for July when we will be in Minneapolis for 3 weeks.

Saturday morning all the other guests had started their drive to Minneapolis. We loaded up our car and Charlie was excited that he built one of this birthday legos. I was nervous how we were going to get it home in 1 piece!

Happy Birthday Nana! We had to make a stop at our favorite Big Sky Bakery – Blue moon!

Nana & Claire

Me and my dear, selfless mom! Oh how I hope to slowly morph into her!
After getting back into Bozeman we went to lunch at McKenzie River Pizza to celebrate Nana.

Claire looking at Nana’s new phone case!

this was hysterical – Uncle Tom drew a picture of a mermaid for Claire and she added some special details.

Can you spot the special additions? She added nipples! HA!!

We had so many things to bring back we loaded 3 across the back and then put the middle seats down and maxed it out!

We drove back Saturday afternoon into evening and were happy to have a “back to reality” day on Sunday! Thanks for an amazing trip Nana, G pops & Bubba & Pappy! We love you guys!
