Ellie loses her 2 bottom teeth

Ellie had her bottom 2 permanent teeth come in behind her baby teeth and at first it wasn't an issue, but then her baby teeth became less wiggly and there is just NO space in her mouth....so it was time to extract the baby teeth. I couldn't break it to her that it was going to happen during the afternoon of her Kindergarten graduation, but when she found out after graduation she burst out in tears. I felt so bad, but it was the best thing for her. After lunch and a break she pulled it together and got her "business face on" and just got ready to go. She even remembered her special dentist shirt - if you wear it you get an extra token when you leave. 

As we were leaving - Claire started crying because she was nervous about Ellie. The twin fun continues! As Ellie was getting in the car, I shut the door and her fingers were still in the crack! AHHH. Thankfully, she has dinky fingers and it was in the squishy part of the door, but it was not a good way to kick off the extraction process.

After Ellie got called back - Claire was all concerned. so sweet. 

Claire and Ellie were all smiles after! Especially since the dentist office had Snow Cone truck outside the office to celebrate the last day of school for their patients! What a fun treat!

Last Day of School!!!

The last week of school produced some great work from Ellie and Claire.

Ellie has made big strides in her math work! 

especially her timed tests - these were 2 min tests and one week she was so worked up over it and stressed she got a 0/20. So to get 20/20 is a HUGE improvement. So proud of her! 

Claire has been pretty consistent in her timed tests - proud of her for her hard work as well!

getting 12/12 was great for claire on her written math assignment! 

Charlie said Proverbs 4!! So incredible that he has memorized Proverbs 3 and 4 this year! 

Last day in uniforms and Ellie and Claire celebrate their Graduation from Kindergarten.

 i loved how they were so attentive to their teacher - Mrs. Kind - when she was talking. So impressive for 6 year olds!

So thankful for The Oaks and these teachers that pour so much love into each of my kids. We are overjoyed watching them memorize so much of God's Word in their hearts. Excited for a bit of a school break though!

Charlie had a piano pizza party with his teacher and her students. They all played a piece or two they were working on and then had pizza together. Was a really nice time.

We went up on Sunday to check out the boat since it had been put in the previous week. It was a bit cold, but we had a nice little cruise.

 I banged out 6 batches of jam! Happy to have that done before school is out!
