Man – I am so behind in the blog world.
In the past few weeks Bill has painted the dining room.
more yellow gone – yeah!
I decided to sign up on the day before the famous Bloomsday race and had a blast running it with my neighbor Sarah and her son Jack (pictured in the blue). jack wanted to run it under a certain time so he could skip a school run. So we jogged it and then picked it up at the end. Bloomsday is a famous Spokane race – 12KM – and has over 45,000 runners! It is I think the biggest road race in the country. So fun with cheering people the entire way. I will say, as someone in the fitness scene in Spokane, your Bloomsday time is a status symbol here, which is probably why I didn’t train and try to run it for time. Not sure what I will do next year, but it was fun running it casually this year.
Mother’s Day brought lots of cards from the kids basically saying how I “let” them do things.
Charlie’s class made their moms clocks – so cute!
Cards from the kids.
Ellie chose to write Stepanie instead of mom – ha!
claire wasn’t happy I was taking the picture.
Charlie’s soccer team played for about a month this Spring.
Playing the Green Ninjas who beat them bad this past fall, they lost by 1, but it was a close game!
Charlie is right in the middle (#2 on blue in the next photo).
We reviewed the girls’ portfolios at Ms Mary’s to wrap up what they did this year. Claire and Bill reviewing what she did.
Ellie’s dinosaur story and their dinosaur heads. I love how her story is about tattling, etc.
another home improvement project – we purchased these chairs from craigslist when we moved here and did not like the big gaudy silver nail heads. So we purchased different nail heads on amazon (what can’t you buy on amazon) and Bill completed the chair on the left. You probably can’t tell – but to us – in person it is a huge deal.
the chair on the right (below) is the new one. Much more our style!
more things to come in may…
